WSC Training Staff

The Warrior Soccer Club is investing in its players.

Professional trainers give our teams specialized training, they provide a new perspective on tactics and skills that the coaches may already be presenting.  Educators would agree that it is often helpful to present material in another way, we have a team of professionals to support our coaches and work with the players to give them more insight to the game and its requirements.  Our trainers come from many backgrounds, making them unique and highly qualified.

Strength and Fitness

Our fitness trainers have backgrounds in conditioning, strength, speed and agility, as well as injury prevention.

Chico Grajeda
My objective is to prepare soccer players to adapt to the physical demands of the modern game. Today's players face a heavy schedule with weekend games, midweek games, multiple team practices and summer tournaments. My approach will be on Macrocycles or Periodization Training. This will be a purposeful function taught to the soccer player. The goal will be individual assessments of the player's physical abilities, skills, strengths and psychological state of the player( maturity level). Collectively, our goal is to achieve optimum fitness potential. Fatigued players tend to make poor decisions during a match, they are also prone to copious injuries.

The Functional Training and Fitness plan is:
Longevity of the player
Injury prevention (ACL, hamstrings, hip & "glutes")
Soccer specific guidelines on nutrition
HIIT (high intensity interval training)
Game day intake
Post game nutrition to accelerate and to maximize recovery
Detail exercises in relation to: age, muscular development, motor skills and psychological level.

Finally, we want to establish our fitness signature in the Miami Valley area. The Warrior Soccer Club will have a fitness level second to none!
Over 18 years exposure at the collegiate level
Referee at nine D1 men Final Four
Multiple conference championships for: Big East, Big 10, C-USA, ACC, A-10, MAC.

Rebecca Grajeda
Most of my life I have been interested in living a healthy lifestyle. We know that genetics play a role, but there is also a great deal within our control to feeling younger and living longer. We can impact how we sleep, our moods, living in pain and how our gut feels.  We can also affect our children’s lives long term by allowing them to witness fitness and healthy eating.

I grew up in Dayton, OH, the youngest of four children. I moved to Cincinnati where I earned my Nursing degree from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing. Later I returned to The University of Cincinnati, obtaining a second degree.

We have three school-age sons that are obsessed with the game of soccer. I obtained my health coach certification and SilverSneakers certification in 2014. Now I am helping people at schools, businesses, soccer clubs, churches, and senior centers to live healthy on purpose, one family at a time.
My role will be assisting families and children in understanding their pre and post-game needs.  I will help identify what the player is consuming before and after games.  How do these choices affect the player’s mental and physical performance?

Today’s modern game is physical, tactical and psychological.  Therefore, what the players consume directly affects their performance.
