Warrior Alumni: Katrina Sutherly

FORT WAYNE, Ind.
- Coming off of a program-record 10 wins in 2012, IPFW women's soccer head coach Margaret Saurin has announced that she will be adding 15 new members to the squad for the 2013 season.  Included in that 15 is the Warriors own, Katrina Sutherly.

Sutherly, is a native of Casstown, Ohio, and played her high school soccer for Miami East High School. Her 27 assists as a senior led Ohio during 2012, and was named Second Team All-State in 2011 and 2012. She was her conference Player of the Year as a junior and senior, and a three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, in addition to being named First Team All-Southwest District.

Academically, she was president of the National Honor Society, while playing her club soccer for the Warrior Soccer Club out of Dayton, Ohio.

"Kat impressed us with her work rate off the ball and her ability to beat players in one-v-one situations," said Saurin. "Kat will pop up in dangerous positions to assist or score a goal in nearly every game - she will be very hard to mark."
